Berlin represents one of the largest and most diverse scientific regions in Europe. Over 200,000 people teach, work, study and perform research at the region’s four universities, seven professional colleges, four art colleges, 23 private university-level schools and colleges, 22 technology parks and founders’ centers and over 70 non-university research establishments. New knowledge emerges here every day. For entrepreneurs interested in transforming this knowledge into jobs and market value, a concentrated network made up of the political, science and business communities is of tremendous value.
The goal of Berlin Sciences is to integrate this network. The Berlin Sciences Internet portal was set up by Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research in cooperation with the Senate Department for Education, Science and Youth. Berlin Partner GmbH is the agency responsible for carrying out the project.
